Spring is in the air, the sun is shining and lots of AHD news to share …….
On site this week more updates for Origin HQ and The Brew House as they ready themselves for new training sessions and the hoards of summer coffee lovers. The updates include bespoke pipe and reclaimed timber shelving units.
We are busy gearing up for Clerkenwell Design week where as well as our gaining a dose of design inspiration, MARK Product will be exhibiting as usual at The Design Factory in the Farmiloe Building.
Tom Early (1914 – 1967) was part of the St Ives art colony in the late 1940s and 50s. He was also Anna’s great uncle! So if you are around do pop in and see the exhibition of his work at Falmouth Art Gallery.
In other news Deck Steppers cafe bar will open its doors on Friday at 4pm. We are very proud to have been responsible for the interior design. Formerly the first floor of TJ’s surf shop and hire in Polzeath, Deck Steppers sits right on the beach and is destined to be the place for hungry beach goers to enjoy glorious views and al fresco dining.
TJ’s surf shop is a family business run by surfers for surfers. The new café will reflect the same values and passion of the owner Neil Elliot – its day to day running revolving around beach and surf culture. We are particularly excited about our geometric wall graphic which will be illuminated by a scattering of Flos mini glow balls (we do love our lighting installations). Also the cleverly designed curved bar front made up of countless little pieces of grey stained timber – put together by a very patient joiner.
